I ran into this post by accident. And let me tell you, I just love my Mac Mini too. In fact I even have 2 at home. :) My PC is so lonely sitting in a box. Hehe.

I'm a recent at-home convert to Mac as well and can't imagine going back. A Mac Pro wasn't in the budget at the moment, so I went with the 1.83GHz Intel Core Duo. It's not a long-term solution and gaming is sure to be dodgy (it's not even a consideration until I get more RAM), but it's great for day-to-day use, and will be a great extra computer when I move on up to Pro.

The only significant annoyance so far hasn't even been with Apple, but with Adobe for being so slow to release Universal binaries for their products. I understand Adobe has reasons for sticking to their own schedule, but I'm not about to pay for slow PPC versions of their software to replace my Windows versions now only to pay again once they finally go Universal. *sigh* I'm missing the old days when you got PC and Mac CDs when you purchased software. (The obvious solution is to get Windows running on my mini, but that also requires more RAM and another WinXP license.)

By the time Adobe finally gets friendly with Intel Macs, they may have lost me. I've already ditched Dreamweaver for jEdit and am playing with The GIMP (hmm, doesn't sound good). Inkscape is still young, but it could be a good replacement for Illustrator someday. (Sorry this isn't more timely, but I just came across your post.)
