Admiral Sir Reginald Aylmer Ranfurly Plunkett-Ernle-Erle-Drax

Yep. Quadruple-barrelled.

I always wondered what'd happen if one double-barrelled person married another double-barrelled person. Reg Drax here seems to be Exhibit A.

Our kids are double-barrelled. To save them from Reg' fate, we carefuly chose their middle names so they could ditch the two surnames entirely if necessary.

Thanks, Merlin!

OMG. That’s just crazy^^ Imagine this would never have an end: one quadruple-barreled person marries another quadrupled person. The kids will be octodruple-barreled. What if they meet partners who are octodruple-barreled as well? ^^

Sir Reg was a British admiral, most famous for heading a military delegation to the USSR in 1939 with the intention of making an anti- Nazi alliance with Moscow. The Russians did not take him seriously; a. because he was not a senior enough official b. because he had a stupid upper -class twit of a name!!!!
